The decorative paintings on bronzes can be roughly divided into two categories: one is to describe the etiquette activities in aristocratic life, such as banquets, archery, and sacrificial rites; the other is to depict the images of water and land attack, represented by the "water and land attack pattern" unearthed in shanbiao town. Other Baihuatan bronze pots and the Palace Museum banquet bronze pot all have pictures showing the scene of war. In these paintings, there are such plots as land and water fighting, wall defense, and ladder attack. There are also detailed descriptions of the water and land battles, which show the details of the attack and kill of the charge. Some soldiers hold swords and halberds, and some hold spears and spears, which are vivid. These artistic techniques have greatly inspired and influenced the stone and brick carvings of Han paintings.
